Three Fresh New Designs from the Coast
We're proud to introduce the work of a talented designer whose work over the past 30 years has helped to define the casual coastal and beach architectural style now prevalent along the Carolina coastlines.
The exterior of these homes incorporate classic coastal elements such as metal roofing, exposed rafter tails and broad covered porches. The floorplans are designed to maximize views and for casual coastal living.
A quote from the designer: “Most of my designs share a common philosophy of being playful, exciting, inviting, and social. Designs in a cottage should allow for unique or unexpected features, such as round porthole windows, or ship's ladders and built-in bunks. A wide window seat can sometimes double as an extra guests' bunk or a special place to curl up with a good book on one of those rainy beach days.”
We're featuring three of his most popular designs this month: Cape Point I, Cedar Cove and Seawatch I. All three feature traditional floor plans with the living areas on the first level and bedrooms on the upper level. If you need extra space, all three of these new house plans feature options for adding bedrooms to the ground level. If you're looking to build on your coastal property, these delightful designs may be just what you're looking for your primary residence or vacation home.
